Who is responsible

Whistle & Bark is responsible for this website. You can contact us by calling 07400 549774 or by writing to 108 Riccarton, Westwood, East Kilbride, Glasgow G75 9BY.

Essential website functions

The public website does not require an account. Essential security and administration cookies may be used when an authorised owner signs in; these are needed to keep the private administration area secure and are not used for advertising.

Google Analytics

If you choose “Accept analytics”, Google Analytics helps us understand visits and page use so we can improve the website. Information may include pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, device and browser information, and referral information. Google acts as our analytics provider and may process this information outside the UK under its applicable data-protection safeguards. You can read more in Google’s privacy policy.

Analytics is off by default. We deny advertising storage, personalisation and advertising user data, and disable Google signals. We do not use this setup for personalised advertising.

Cookies and your saved choice

NamePurposeTypical duration
_gaDistinguishes website visitors for analytics.Up to 2 years
_ga_*Maintains the state of an Analytics visit.Up to 2 years

Your analytics choice is stored only in your browser for up to 180 days so the site can remember it. It is not sent to Google. If the consent wording or implementation changes materially, the saved version will no longer apply and the site will ask again.

Your choices

Accepting is optional and rejecting does not reduce access to the site. Use “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics on that device and removes the known first-party Google Analytics cookies that the site can access. You can also clear website data in your browser.

How long information is kept

In the Whistle & Bark Google Analytics property, event-level information associated with cookies or other identifiers is retained for 2 months and user-level information is retained for 14 months. The user-data period resets when that visitor returns. These controls do not affect most aggregated reports, which Google may keep for longer. We will keep this notice under review if those settings change.

Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask about, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal information, object to its use, or withdraw consent. You can contact us using the details above. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
